A word from your missions office

By HEITH MITCHELL

2 Timothy 2:1 You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Why would Timothy need strength if there wasn’t hardship in front of him.  There is always hardship in front of us.  We aren’t alone.  we can be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  We have everything we need to walk in Jesus.  I really have grown to love this passage.  Trials are unavoidable but often crisis is if we will be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Prayer Request

I am seeing God at work.  I am hearing of so many BMA baptisms right now!  The Lord is about His mission.  At the same time, I have never seen so many under attack at the same time.  Please pray for your missionaries and the pastors and leaders in our BMA family.  Pray for their protection.

If you are feeling the attack, I encourage you, to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  Retreat to rest and refocus on the Lord.  Lean into others.  Isolation is so dangerous in our struggles.  Let someone know and pray together.  God is good and he is with us BMA family.

PROJECT 2029
100 New Churches/10 years

  • That we see an aggressive multiplication movement of churches who make disciples, equip and release leaders, and start churches for the glory of God and the advancement of his Kingdom Mission
  • That each new mission begin with a plan to begin three new churches in their first 10 years
  • That pastors and churches of the association be encouraged and equipped to start new churches
  • That we connect, evaluate, identify and train new prospective church planters

Zack Eswine says, “Mark this down, okay? You and I were never meant to repent for not being everywhere for everybody and all at once. You and I are meant to repent because we’ve tried to be.”

Prayer Needs:

Please pray that we as a family abide in Jesus in the coming weeks, grow in our love for Him, one another and the church. That we come back with a renewed zeal in the Lord and love for others.

God has been good to us, we have experienced many of His blessings. We are already nearing the end of the legal registration of the Church: we are in the phase of the Federal Registry. we already have our State registration and in the ISR. Glory to God because He has provided us with the necessary resources and we have been able to move forward. I think the best is ahead and there are many new things that we will experience and where we will continue to see the powerful hand of God!

Prayer Needs:

For a permanent place for our church. Not just on Sundays.

As always we thank the entire family of churches of the BMAT. By your prayers and offerings, the church is healthy, growing, evangelizing, and discipling. Carrying out the great commission. This month we had two professions of faith, we finished the first quarter of Bible Institute and an evangelism campaign.

Prayer Needs:

May God open doors for us for the gospel may be received by unbelievers.

Howdy from West Texas! It is so much fun serving the Lord in church planting!! It’s got moments of struggle and difficulty but, WOW! It sure is fun seeing God move in the lives of people who have been out of church and far from the Lord but are now all in and on fire for Him! We are growing in every way! Every week we are having visitors come who have been invited by our people and even by the guests themselves! New ministries are being formed and our systems are beginning to really take shape. God is definitely working! Thank you for helping us serve the King and His Kingdom as BMAT church planters!

Kyle Cheatham  – Planting in Jarrell

kyle@gracejarrell.com

We have been thrilled to see our people be quick to take initiative to come alongside and care for one another, rather than leaving it to me alone. Our people are gladly taking the initiative to share the gospel and invite people to church. Please pray for further gospel conversations in our community!

Prayer Needs:

1) Pray for continued evangelism as our people seek to be “sunlight” to our community. Pray for Jacklyn and I as we found out we are having a baby girl this October! 2) Pray for the salvation of a 30 year old named Reed who is coming regularly and also meeting with me weekly. 3) Pray for wisdom, timing, and funds for adding live music and a leader for worship.

Chris Mindi  – Anchor Austin Mission in Leander

chriszion@outlook.com

If we hit our knees, the Holy Spirit will do the heavy lifting. If we hit our knees, the Holy Spirit will reveal things that can only be discovered in the presence of God. If we hit our knees, the Holy Spirit will give us God-ideas for our ministry, family, business- for our lives. This is the truth that we want everybody at Anchor Austin and all over the world, especially ‘THE CHURCH’ to realize the marvelous God we have to continue with boldness in this world. After all, ‘Prayer is the difference between th best you can do and the best God can do’ –

M. Batterson. That’s a BIG difference!

Prayer Needs:

Pray for Anchor Austin as we meet new people and making connections in this busy place Austin TX. Pray earnestly for all relationships to be stronger and genuinely caring for each other so that they know, there is a God who loves in a perfect way and we can see in the testimony of those who believe in Him. Pray for ongoing relationships, that the gospel becomes clear for them to understand and put their faith in Christ as the Savior.

Rudy Villareal – Hometown Church in San Antonio

rvillarreal1@gmail.com

We are seeing growth in the people you are helping us reach! We have shared the Gospel regularly, and as some have seen me share the Faith it has encouraged others wanting to evangelize more. We are starting a regular time to go out and share the Gospel with four other men who are eager to share the Good News! We started a Bible Study at the Community Center at Grey Forest a little small town right next to Helotes. It is a community historically recognized for the number of artists who live there and frequently described as “eclectic.” We have the Mayor involved and a number of influential neighbors. I also had an opportunity to meet the Mayor of Helotes and pray for him, and he invited me to do the invocation for their previous City Council meeting. I was able to meet some other Council members and am in prayer for them as well. We also have made some inroads in a popular San Antonio community called “Alamo Ranch,” and are working to reach the people who live there.

Prayer Needs:

Pray for us in these things, you are sending the Gospel forth and we appreciate your partnership!

Robert Lee – Harmony Baptist Church in Normangee Replant

bro.robert.f.lee@gmail.com

Things have been good this month here in Normangee. We were blessed to be able to serve again one week this month at Panthers for Christ. We also have some other good things in the works that, Lord willing, will give us more opportunities to serve youth and their families in our community. Pray that these things would work out in the days ahead.

Prayer Needs:

Pray for continued opportunities to serve youth and their families in our community.

Thank God our neighbors who smoke marijuana day and night have already left their apartment. This has been a great blessing for us, we thank everyone for their prayers.

Prayer Needs:

May God give us wisdom with the people we are discipling, and may they continue to grow. May God grant us more people of peace.

Tim Alba – The Bridge in Seagoville

timalba1986@gmail.com

I learned this month that a leadership who is not unified is a church not unified. I have been teaching our leadership that unity is our top priority when it comes to developing our culture in our church. If our leaders can’t unify then our people will find no reason to do so. We are working towards building a stronger team so we can’t impact our people. If we want our churches to thrive we are going to need a church that is unified in our mission and vision. Philippians 2:2

Prayer Needs:

Please pray for Frank Martinez. He just found out that he has cancer and we are asking God to do a miracle in his Life.
