A word from your missions office
By HEITH MITCHELL
On May 12th & 13th, your BMA of Texas Missions had the pleasure of sponsoring the Hispanic Men’s Conference at Daniel Springs. This year’s conference was called ‘Desarrollando una nueva Generacion de Lideres – Hombre a Hombre 2023” This conference has been held for many years at Daniel Springs. I think it was first coordinated by Buddy Johnson. This year Elvis Garcia did a great job bringing the conference together.
Around 90 men attended the conference. It began with lots of soccer and fellowship. The worship team from Caminando con Jesus in Humble did an amazing job of leading worship.
Speakers this year were me, Jaime Lengua, Luis Ortega, and David Dickson. The Lord blessed with a salvation, a baptism in the Daniel Springs pond, and 9 who surrendered to ministry! Daniel Springs were wonderful hosts as always. Here are some pictures from the conference.
PROJECT 2029
100 New Churches/10 years
- That we see an aggressive multiplication movement of churches who make disciples, equip and release leaders, and start churches for the glory of God and the advancement of his Kingdom Mission
- That each new mission begin with a plan to begin three new churches in their first 10 years
- That pastors and churches of the association be encouraged and equipped to start new churches
- That we connect, evaluate, identify and train new prospective church planters

Kyle Cheatham– Planting in Jarrell

We celebrated our first baptism this month! Around 40 of our people came back together on a Sunday evening at the home and pool of a church member to celebrate the baptism of one of our young adults and the graduation of one of our high schoolers. Great time for each of them to share with our church and our people praying over them.
We continue to love being in the BMA family, from the essential coaching and the cohort to the upcoming Galveston gathering for planters!
Prayer Needs:
Please pray for our people to continue to proactively engage others during the week with what we call S.U.N.L.I.G.H.T. interactions.

In the book of Jeremiah, God tells us about the consequences of not aligning our lives with the Will of God. The people of Israel suffered the consequences of his bad decisions. Jeremiah’s message was to return to God and allow Him to discipline them. But they instead sought shelter in other nations and other gods. No belief, god, or religion deserves that we put our trust in them, only the True God, Jesus Christ is the only one who deserves it, if we don’t manage to see it, we will pay the consequences like the entire nation of Israel.
Prayer Needs:
May God protect us in the change of house that we will do this month. May God give us grace with our new neighbors, and may we be able to contact many Hispanic neighbors who live in the area. May we have very good health so that we do not get hurt during the change.

First I want to thank the entire BMAT family of churches for their prayers and financial support. Here at Fuente de Vida Eterna Baptist Church we are working on the work of the Lord and witnessing how God is touching and transforming lives. Of the people, this month we had the joy of seeing the salvation of a man from Colombia named Johneiry, he and his family arrived from Colombia and he gave his life to Jesus and is starting the discipleship process, our little sister Alison Henriquez decided to follow Jesus at the baptism, and a new family that has been visiting the church for over a year applied for membership this month and they have also started membership classes. God is working in this work that is his. The last Sunday of this month we had an attendance of 65 people and we give glory to God for it.
Prayer Needs:
Pray that God will continue to open doors and touch hearts and transform lives through this ministry.

It was a wonderful opportunity to participate in the MAN TO MAN event with God for the first time and at the same time bring 4 of our leading men, as it was comforting. One of our men gave his way to the holy calling to be a worker of the BMA work in the state of Texas. Your prayers for brother Urleidy Centeno.
Prayer Needs:
Pray for our next mission trip to Cuba in the first half of July.

This month has been an eye-opener for me. I realize that many times our churches can get inwardly focused. We forget that our mission is greater than what we find in the four walls of our church. Our services and home groups are training grounds to go and participate in God’s mission and sometimes we forget that. I pray that God would continue to grow us and all and that the Holy Spirit of God would bring conviction to His Church. Stay focused and continue to pray that we live our life to glorify God.
Prayer Needs:
Please pray for Frank Martinez. He is in need of a Bone marrow Transplant.

I praise God for the changing of the seasons, the time of spring and the beginning of summer has been a wonderful opportunity to connect with new people we meet on the street and around the buildings we are visiting to disciple. In wintertime, people rarely went out and remained more hidden. These are wonderful times that we must take advantage of to extend the Kingdom of God by preaching the Word of God!!!
Prayer Needs:
Pray for my children and grandchildren requested by immigration to enter this country.

“Mark this down, okay? You and I were never meant to repent for not being everywhere for everybody and all at once. You and I are meant to repent because we’ve tried to be.” – Zack Eswine, The Imperfect Pastor
Prayer Needs:
Just prayer for my family and I that I would learn to do life and ministry without circumventing Jesus. Also that I would learn to be a cheerleader for my family rather than just seeing myself as a manager to them.

BMA Family, thank you for your love and support over these years. We are so grateful for your prayers for us, and your love for our mission in Saginaw, TX. The Lord calls each of us to continue faithfully to the work He has called each of us to. I want to encourage you in that, as you also encourage me. He is faithful, He will finish what He has begun. Amen.
Prayer Needs:
We ask that you would intercede on our behalf over our students going to camp this summer, along with our children. For the first time, we are offering a VBS here at Kingdom Chapel, and we ask that you would seek the Lord in prayer over us. Ask Him to save, grow, and fill these little ones here with His Spirit, and purpose through His Son Jesus Christ. We love you all. Blessings.

Working people are getting more stress under the current inflation situation, we see the worry of the future has been a burden to them, we pray that they will find peace and be less worried with faith in Jesus Christ, because Jesus teaches his disciples not to worry about tomorrow and trust in God the father which is a great comfort for the believers.
Prayer Needs:
Pray for salvation for people who are not yet believers!

Badly Aligned
2 Chronicles 19:1–20:37; Titus 3:12–15; Psalm 101:1–8
Like a car with bad alignment, we are prone to drift off course when we’re not focused on steering our faith. Often, we use intellectual pursuits to disguise our drifting. It’s easier to argue an opinion than to respond faithfully. It’s stimulating to have a theoretical conversation about a complex issue because there is no hard-and-fast application. When we drift, we might even succeed in convincing ourselves that we’re being faithful.
New Christians often have a zealous faith and a desire to learn that make seasoned Christians take a second look at their own faith. In Psalm 101, the psalmist expresses this type of zeal for God. While his specific actions can seem strange to our modern ears, his desire to pursue God with his entire being is one we ourselves should adopt. He follows his repeated “I will” statements with promises to sing of God’s steadfast love and justice, ponder the way that is blameless, and walk with integrity of heart. He knows the danger of haughty eyes and arrogance of heart, and he determines to avoid people with these traits. Instead, he aspires to seek out faithful people who can minister to him (Psa 101:6).
Complex faith issues don’t always have hard-and-fast answers. They require intelligent conversations and careful consideration. But most of all, they require humility and a committed zeal to follow God- whatever the outcome.
We need to be humble and honest about our weaknesses. If we know we need help, we need to be like the psalmist and seek out mentors who can minister to us. And if someone calls us out as arrogant and haughty, we need to address where we’ve drifted.
Take a look at your own heart. Where are you drifting?

Pray for Indian Independence Day celebration, we are putting an effort to make it happen as an open event to invite our friends from different faiths and have a time of celebration to become friends and this to be a start of a healthy relationship.

So, my beloved brethren, be steadfast and steadfast, growing ever in the work of the Lord, knowing that your hard work in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians:15:58.
I. We must stand firm. Despite all the setbacks we encounter, the difficulties and weaknesses we must remain firm. Firm in our calling, firm in whom we have believed, firm in our work.
II. We must be constant. Constant in what we have undertaken, constant in our encouragement for God’s work, constant in going and preaching the glorious good news of salvation.
III. We must grow, in wisdom, in the spiritual, grow as people but in the work of the Lord Jesus Christ we cannot stop, we must always grow, remembering that this work is rewarded in eternity.
Prayer Needs:
May God heal me, right now I have covid.

The book of Daniel encouraged me to seek and trust in our God, who is sovereign and eternal and whose kingdom is everlasting amid chaos and confusion around the world. We look around the politics and the leaders of the nations and get frustrated by what is happening worldwide. The world is increasingly turning against God and His will. But the book of Daniel calls us to trust the God of the Bible no matter what because HIs kingdom is coming and will be forever, and we will be part of that everlasting and glorious kingdom.
Prayer Needs:
Please be praying for our mission here in Fort Worth as we disciple new believers and look to build our core teams. Pray that the Lord would bring people to our contact in miraculous ways to launch our plant.
Chris Driver– West Texas Multiplication Network/Texas Missionary Care
Howdy from West Texas! Summer is in full swing out here but it has felt like FALL!! We’ve had lots of rain and storms so now we are battling weeds and mosquitos! LOL But Oasis continues to grow and we are really finding our sweet spot as far as how we do life and ministry together! This may be the most exciting and fun time I have ever had in ministry! To see our people learning and growing and serving and hungry for God and His word is so awesome! We’ve got big plans for the summer and for the start of college this fall. In looking forward to the college ministry in particular, if you would like to sponsor some K-cups for our weekly Free Wi-Fi and coffee days, please let me know. I can’t wait to see our building full of students this fall! Thanks again for all you do for us as BMAT Missionaries and for all your love and prayers!

Rudy Villareal– Hometown Church Mission in San Antonio

We have seen some growth as we are continuing to reach our community, and believe we have found a building for Sunday mornings. We have been growing together and sharing as a growing Church plant. Many are eager to share the Gospel. Please pray that God, continues to open doors for the Word to be shared.
Prayer Needs:
We need prayer for our families that are connected with us, that the Holy Spirit works in their hearts and they submit themselves to the Word of God. We have an overwhelming majority of people who are unChurched folks or never have been a member of a Church and they are being challenged in discipleship.
